When the hell are Granada gonna take serious action and oust Stuart Blackburn? The steep decline in ratings is a clear indication that fans are leaving the show in droves due to piss poor plots, quality characters being underused and others being perpetually rammed down our throats.

So to clarify, Corrie's ratings are up by over a million on this time last year, just in case anyone on here believes any of the utter crap The Scum newspaper prints.

No they're not, they are down by 1m+ YOY. Some episodes down more than 2m.

No - to clarify - the figures in the brackets are how much they've gained from the overnight rating

Does anyone know why Corrie time shifts so much better than EE? I always assumed more (largely older) Corrie viewers watched live than EE viewers do, hence the time shift would be smaller?

Perhaps people prefer to use I Player? A lot of showings are over 1 million these days
not to mention BBC3 and the omnibus helping a little (300k-700k+)

Other than that I've no idea.

BBC Iplayer is so much easier to use then ITV one it has a million adverts until you get to watch the damn thing.

Just like live ITV then. I detest ads. If only Adblock worked on tv.

The stripping out of ads helps Corrie and the ITV player isn't as good as the BBC equivalent.

The Friday timeshifts for EastEnders are being split with the omnibus (something to do with codes) so the Friday episodes could be missing up to 500k+ a week.

Who said the ratings system was straight forward?

Despite its loss of viewers, Corrie remains #1 soap.
