Thanks dullagj2 for the figures. What amazes me is that Corrie consolidates more with catch up is this the same day +1 figure plus the multiple repeats over the 7 days?

Will EE benefit when all Iplayer platforms are taken into account as I don't think this is the case yet? It amazes me that EE does not consolidate better than CS considering DW's timeshifting magic.

No probs.

The ads are stripped out which adds around 200/300k. These figures don't include +1 but everyone who watched on ITV within 7 days of the broadcast.

Some i-player is counted if you watch through a TV (I think) but yes it would definetly help as will the axing of the omnibus as some viewers are being added to that, mostly Friday viewers.

Interesting post by DMN in the ratings thread regarding Hollyoaks' ratings...

Quote:
“Hollyoaks
2008 - 2.01m + 1.03m = 3.13m
2009 - 1.69m + 581k = 2.27m
2010 - 1.23m + 412k = 1.64m
2011 - 1.37m + 827k = 2.19m
2012 - 1.11m + 784k = 1.89m
2013 - 1.18m (6.1%) + 890k (4.2%) => 2.07m
2014 - 1.19m (6.3%) + 1.23m (6.1%) => 2.42m”

Hollyoaks is having its best year rating wise since 2008! with E4 episodes now surpassing Channel 4.

if you get out of the habit, we have kirkwood and newman to thank for this. once viewers have left and found something else to do, or just can't be a***d they don't return. it does not matter how good a show is. let this be a lesson to the hat, coronation street and itv.

I wonder if the fact ITV has a crap online Player increases Corrie and Emmerdale's time-shifts in comparison to EastEnders which people may not record but watch on I player instead.

A very pertinent comment - I use BBCiplayer quite a lot, but baulk at the notion of having to use the dreadful thing they call itv / stv iplayer!

If this poll is accurate then its gonna be bad news for ITVs soaps
In a poll in mirror it had this for the 3 soaps,
Question was which soap will you watch on Xmas day
1 EE 85%
2 CS 11%
3 ED. 5%
Personaly I agree, no idea what the latter two have in store for Xmas day , but Think everybody wants,to see the Linda/dean/mick showdown
