Bluray discs
Are they region free?
If I brought a bluray disc in the US, would I be able to play 'said' bluray on my bluray player here in the UK???? I know normal DVDs are coded to regions, just wondered if the same was true for blurays.... |

Have a look at the site here, it will tell you whether they are region free or not. http://bluray.liesinc.net/ If it doesn't mention the particular movie you are interested in, have a look on one of the US retail sites like Movietyme as they normally say whether it's region free or not. |

More than 70% of Blurays from the US are region free.
The only studios who have never used region coding on a single title are Warner. Usually Paramount and Universal don't code either but there are one or two titles that are locked for some reason. The recent Universal Stephen Merchant Bluray is Region B . Check before you buy or better still do what I did and buy a multiregion player then it won't matter |
