They probabily think she's American; she desperately tries to sound it on all of her songs.

What's wrong with sounding American? You sound like a snob.

I like the song and the video, Jessie definitely deserves this, especially in America! She tried really hard with promoting and stuff, so well done Jessie.

So, the marketing machine has got what it wanted. The endless manufactured engineering of her 'success' has paid off

not at all. she worked hard to get where she is writing for other artists. and its taken longer than most artists to get a top 10, price tag stalled at 23.

If you want to talk about marketing, let's talk about Taylor Swift.

Not a fan in any way but credit where credit is due, it's definitely an achievement.

her voice kind of sounded like katy perry. but its not. but the beat is kind of similar to what katy perry would release and i do believe the people who worked on that song has worked with katy in the past so thats why.

Well, Dr. Luke produced the song, and people have the opinion Jessie does sound similar to her on the track, so it's no wonder it's made top 10.

I just don't like the song though, or the tone of Jessie's voice on it. It actually irritates me.

LOL they probably thought it was Last Friday Night and kept buying it....it's sooooo generic and copycat. Don't really rate Jessie and her screaming at all tbh.

Funny how Price Tag stalled at #23 so she releases a generic Katy Perry rip off instead to get a cheap hit. What was wrong with releasing her other material like Do It Like A Dude/Nobody's Perfect/Who You Are? She always blabs on about how much they mean to her and how long she took to write them yet when it comes to it she'd record anything for some cash and attention. So fake.

umm..businesswoman in a world of business...kinda self explanatory. and jessie ended up having that success because radio kept playing it. no need to hate on her. and its not really a katy perry rip off. Perry doesnt even have a sound to be honest. Artists new to the US, have a way of releasing new versions of their albums in the US, from leona lewis to tinie tempah. The latter did the same, he released a new song (till im gone) as his second US single, before it got a UK release. I dont think it was intentional. Jessie's had minimal US success overall. She just had a minor hit. She might release them in the gap between her second album, we dont know. Shes not the boss of her own label, others make these decisions you know. I dont think she's fake at all, just smart. its a business and you have to make money.
