Humor in EastEnders
EastEnders is always known as the more miserable soap with almost no humor but I don't think that is all true, I've been in laughter watching EastEnders before the last time was on Monday with Zainab asking Anthony 'Are you sure' when he intoduced himself. It has had some quality one liners in the passed, this is one of my favouirtes
Dot (referring to the Vic): "I don't know why I lower meself going in there. It's a den on iniquity" Ethel: "Angie's not much better" ![]() I do think EastEnders can do comedy, not as well as Corrie mind but they've done it in the past and it's been funny. Agree or disagree? |

Eastenders does a sharp wit that isnt instant something mite be said then the next scene comes on and then it clicks that one of things i love about eastenders but no one else seems to agree with me on it.

I think EastEnders is wickedly funny, but it's quite often a dark, subtle humour.

They're 'comedy' plots are terrible, but over the last year or so there have been some very funny one-liners, particularly from Kim, Janine and the other women.

EE have the best one-liners in soap, imo. But no other soap does drama as best as EE. I perfer the drama in EE then the comdey side.

Dot is funny most of the time in EE. But it's more subtle than other soaps. I found the scene where Morgan hugged Michael a few weeks back funny.

Janine's bitchiness can be funny.
They've tried doing jokes about 1. Billy Mitchell's penis being small (Janine), and 2. Billy Mitchell's penis being exceptionally large (Big Mo). It's either a continuity error, or Big Mo just hasn't seen that many. |
