My 15yr old cat has always been a frequent vomiter. He was seen by the vet a year ago, had some blood tests, a general health check, was given a clean bill of health and prescribed prednisolone on a regular basis.
Recently, he started lip smacking and licking so I switched his diet from Whiskas wet pouches and Purina dry food to Applaws wet and dry food together with some cooked fresh chicken to reduce the amount of additives and cereal in his food. He has not vomited since the change and the lip smacking has stopped.
However, over the last couple of days his thirst has increased, he drank a whole bowl of water over night and today he is visiting his water bowl every 10 minutes. He hasn't eaten today.
Have I done something wrong? Should I put him back on his old diet?
