Hi there,

I have no doubt I am being EXTREMELY stupid here but what is the difference between a chain and a bracelet?

Is it one and the same?

http://www.thomasabouk.co.uk/chains

I want a charm bracelet so would this be the "chains?" In which case this seems extremely cheap for a bracelet?

chains tend to be just plain a bracelet may have a charm or some such on it.

Thanks but I still do not fully understand!
I just want a plain bracelet with links for her to attach her own charms onto - so this would be the chain yeah?

Yes you want to get a chain in that case. Then it will just like a plain charm bracelet that charms can be attatched onto

Thanks for putting it in simple terms for me! I am one of those people that if I do not grasp it first time it has to be seriously dumbed down for me!

The difference is that the bracelets are like this

http://www.thomasabouk.co.uk/product...ystal-bracelet

and you can attach up to 3 charms onto the silver bit

and the chains are like this

http://www.thomasabouk.co.uk/product...8-inches-chain

so you can put as many on as you want. It sounds like this is what you're after

I'm not sure, the fact that they're cheaper may indicate that they're fake, I'm not sure.
You may be better buying from a shop though

www.thomasabouk.co.uk resolves to a Shanghai address - I doubt very much that site is genuine. As Bethaneeny says, the fact they're cheaper probably means they're fake.

Without looking at the links, I would have thought a bracelet was anything you can put round your wrist made from anything, like a leather bracelet or charm bracelet. And that a chain was a chain of links made from a precious metal.
