Yeah I am serious, how would you know have you ever talked to her?!

No the second poster has likely never met her and is simply being unpleasant.

Christine is a very nice lady. I have met her once in Belfast. She really doesn't deserve the hate.

She comes across as a very pleasant lady. I really don't understand the spite.

I don't understand the Christine hate. She always comes across very well on screen and in interviews. I'm in the minority that liked her on Daybreak but in the wider picture she just wasn't suited to it. I hate to pull out the jealousy card but I think thats what it is. If we were on £100,000 a year and was offered another job with better prospects whilst earning £4m over 3 years, would any of us honestly reject it? Shes just had a bit of bad luck at ITV but shes still laughing all the way to the bank. The Daily Mail has a lot to answer for also. I understand that people will dislike her just like any other presenter but a disproportionate amount of people have it in for her for no real reason.

She's a nice friendly personality and presenter.

I've no idea what's she like as a person, but I'm sorry but I really don't like her as a presenter. Bring back Holly.

Just because you have a low opinion of her, don't expect everyone to have the same.
I don't think she has any of these traits in the slightest and is doing a good job on DOI.

She actually has a bigger role tonight, she doesn't usually speak to the contestants, give voting numbers or link to the break.

I'm not a fan, and I don't think she is attractive. I think those people who criticise her do so because she seems to be everywhere, gets so much press attention, is a WAG despite her protestations to the contrary, and she gets a lot of bad comments about trying to inveigle her way into Frank Lampard's kids' life and take over from their real mother. She'll always have her critics.

Elen, is that you?

I don't rate her but can't go with the hate. My only explanation is that she was always mediocre but claimed to superstardom and megabucks on the back of Adian Chiles. Okay, she happened to be one half of a successful duo on a successful programme called the One Show which was hardly challenging and not prime time but did well. Then Chiles had his bust-up, threw his toys out the pram and got ITV to pay him squillions. Then he wanted to rub salt in by poaching Christine as well and obviously used his influence to talk ITV in to it and to persuade Christine who was clearly flattered by the attention and the dosh. And then the new programme didn't work and buckets of brown stuff were poured on their heads, but mostly hers. Unfair, but he has talent (whether you like him or not) and she plainly doesn't, or at least no more than an averagely good looking girl. And then you get the WAG stuff and the perma-tan and ITV's frantic casting around for something for her to do and then you cap it all with the mother stuff. Always going to end badly for Christine who I hope has the sense to persuade Frank it's time to put his money where her mouth is and then she can quietly retire.

That made me laugh!

Christine was looking beautiful tonight and I'm glad to see she had more of a role in the show. She comes across as a really nice person, IMO. The Daily Mail deliberately printed articles that seemed an open invitation for their more spiteful readers to post some of the nastiest and most vitriolic posts I've ever read on that website. Criticism is one thing, vile almost- threatening hatred is something else entirely. Sometimes I wonder what sort of people could actually sit at their computer and type such horrible stuff, instead of simply giving their opinion in a sensible civilised manner.

Perhaps it's a little to do with jealousy. Nice looking woman, confident, personable, great career, wealthy partner.

I would recommend that Christine eats something in the near future - if her face collapses much more, she'll be able to eat an apple through a tennis racket!

Oh, not that old jealousy chestnut again, surely. Do try something else when somebody expresses an opinion you don't agree with. Maybe a mahogany wagtan and moving in footballing circles is the height of desirability to you, but some of us have other measures of joy.

I think she's fine as the DOI presenter. It just puzzles me how the spelling of her surname is so different from its pronunciation. How does 'Bleakley' become 'Blakely'?

I suppose she changed it so it sounds a bit less, well..., bleak.
