My two have the routine that my boyfriend gets up at about 5.45, and he feeds them before he leaves for work.
At about 6.30 they come up and either scratch on the door or jump on the bed purring in my ear until I wake up ![]() Sometimes they have food still left or sometimes not. If they are feeling particularly cheeky, they meow and pretend he hasn't fed them yet I've even had to phone and double check once or twice!

you think thats smart. If my husband is going to take sammy out for a walk in the afternoon, he says to sammy "will you wait until I watch this program"? and the dog sits down and good as gold and as soon as the credits and music come on he goes for his lead, this without any movement from my husband,he is incredibily smart

My cat wakes us up too. My phone alarm goes off at 7 on weekdays and she starts calling as soon as she hears it (she sleeps downstairs). Then I go down, open the door and she runs straight upstairs to wake my son. It works well. The problem is on the days when I don't have to get up at 7, she very often starts calling anyway, and batters the door trying to get to us. It drives me crazy.

6:30 on weekdays with my two - unfortunately the same at weekends!!! Either the wet nose snuffling in my ear or a paw to the face.

because of Milley's accident for the last week I've been letting Murphey sleep with me he's fine for most of the night and just curls up on the bed but come 5.30am to 6am he's awake walking all around the room over my bed and pulling at my blankets.
