Oh. My. Gosh. Tabitha and Verity got more votes than 2 to go? Ok now the voting really is muffed up. I'm sorry but Screaming isn't the X factor...and little miss sympathy isn't either...I thought this silly symptahy voting wasn't going to happen now, but good acts are going to be voted off instead of the likes of Tabitha and Verity...Disgraceful

Louis was on and said that the wrong 2 were in the bottom and that the worst 2 on Saturday were Steve and Verity which is correct IMO Terry Sharons stylist) agreed. He also said if anyone out of Simons team had sung like Steve on Saturday he would have ripped them apart which also true.

He says Rowetta is great and Cassie of course he loves all his groups
But Terry agreed that Verity got the sympathy vote.

yeah he was on!

Here's some of what he said:
- it wasn't fair that Roberta went. VWS and Roberta were 2 of the best acts that night.
- people are voting for who they feel sorry for and not the best acts.
- Verity did an ok job but isn't a star like Rowetta, and Simon is using the sympathy vote.
- he doesn't care who wins as long as Simon doesn't.
- Simon's made a career of putting people down so why can't he put 1 or 2 down (referring to his 'housewife' comments about Verity).
- VWS are fantastic.
- Steve is a good singer.
- Everyone in the final 9 was good but some are better than others.
- Sharon would be a great prime minister.
- he expected to see Verity and Steve in the bottom 2.
- Kate Thornton is doing a great job.
-G4 will be in the final and he'd love to manage them.

you're welcome! I taped it, I tape every show with Louis on!

I do like G4 alot, I'm hoping they will go far. However I do agree with your comment that they are OTT, certainly not to everyone's tastes.

But it's not solely about the performance on the first night.

When the contestants lined up for the opening night a lot of viewers would've made up their minds on who they were going to support. I feel most people voted on who they initally liked in the lead up to the live show, rather than their performance on the night - but of course this support can change over the next couple of weeks & nothing can be taken for granted.

In addition, we must also take in to account that many viewers wouldn't have voted first night and will save their judgemnet to the later rounds.

It's a tough one to call IMO!

I wonder how many like me were put off voting by this judges stupid vote at the end, as many peeps I spoke to said they will now not vote at all, wonder if they bargained on that one. Doubt it, but it has put people off it is manipulative to say the least... so say VWS had gone but not been the bottom how would the people who voted for them have felt, not happy.... I would not have been....

I'm surprised that '2 To Go' came in last, but the rest of the votes seem to fit a 'This Morning' poll. However, I have a feeling that the majority of the programme's viewers are not going to buy the product - whoever wins!

I am pleasantly suprised to see VWS as third favourite on This Morning poll. I can't believe 2 To Go finished last - behind Verity!

But who are the really good acts? For example - I didn't think that 'G4' were very good last saturday (sounded a bit strained and odd) and were better in the early rounds. As for the future, they are going to have limited, 'middle-of-the-road' appeal which will refelect in their record sales etc.. I think all of the judges made mistakes in their selections which will now be obvious as the contest continues - all the acts are not that great overall, except perhaps for the three 'soul' singers.

If Louis wants to put people down he should do a better job he had a go at Verity and upset a lot of housewives in the process, probably the reason that Verity wasn't in the bottom two (she should have been she was awful IMO).

well I'm a woman and he didn't upset me!
I don't think Louis' comment was so bad. Anyway I think she would still have got the sympathy vote even if he hadn't said it.

If we are going to continue with the judeges deciding between the bottom 2 there should be a rule that no act can be save in consecutive weeks as it goes against the wishes of the public. I really hope that VWS are not bottom 2 this week. It should be Verity and Scabby.

Shocking. I can't believe this...I just can't. How can VWS have been 3rd if the choice was between them and Roberta...am I missing something?

Maybe I am missing something too but wasn't this just a poll on This Morning, which would have had a different, and presumably smaller, audience than the X-Factor show so would not necessarily accurately reflect the votes on Saturday?

the judges vote is a waste of time. They're not going to vote against their own act so you might as well leave it to the one judge who's not affected. If the judge has any savvy he/she is going to vote tactically to remove the opposition. So it could be that Simon Cowell considered Roberta better that VWS and so removed her from the competition

Excellent theory Cheeks....................only time will tell if this is the case, but will be interesting this Saturday to see/hear the performances and who is eliminated.
