T835 suddenly operating very slowly
My Technika T835 has suddenly began to operate extremely slowly - in fact almost unbelievably slow. This occurred immediately after one of its infrequent "freezes". After the normal unplug and restart procedure I noticed the firmware had been updated to V4.6 (I had to go thro' the country/region questions). Is the update the cause of this infuriating problem?
Be that as it may I did as usual - whittling down the channel list and turning off the power savers. Apart from the volume and standby buttons every other function (literally every other) is painfully slow. For example turning on takes about 4 seconds before anything happens and deleting from the library can take up to 20 seconds - its maddening. Does anybody have any suggestions? Has anybody had the same problem after changing to V4.6? I'd be very grateful for any help before my usually placid wife throws it thro the window! |

The solution appears to be by deleting all timers either by letting the software do it by continually restarting or - if that doesn't work as happened with me - doing this manually. I had to do four restarts and eventually the pvr gave in.
