Removing all info/history from Blackberry?

Now that I've got my Galaxy SII up and running I'm planning on giving my BB to my daughter. She's only 9 and will use it mainly for playing games, taking pics and for emergencies, she's not yet at the stage of texting/calling friends regularly. (Thank Gods! )

So to make it hers, I need to cancel the contract and set it up as a PAYG. I assume I'll need a new SIM and memory card? I also need to remove all info/history and change the number. How do I go about this please?

I think the first thing to do is log into the web page that contains your bb email accounts - delete all the accounts then remove/release the blackberry pin from the account (you will probably have to call the mobile phone company to remove the device from your account).

You can get to this from the mail app, options, account management.

Then go into the options menu, security and security wipe - tick all the options and click wipe - this will remove all your applications, emails, contacts, photos etc etc from the device.
