Fake tan - for men.
Treble

So, I'd like to use a fake tan. I am male and I would like a real looking non streaky subtle tan...

What products would you reccommend?

And what's the best way to ensure an even, subtle, real looking tan?

St Tropez...get the medium to dark one as the light one does nothing. Apply it with a mit (usually found in the tan section in Boots, Superdrug etc). The mit will ensure even coverage and will prevent the palms of your hands from getting covered in tan.

I would also suggest deliberately using a light shade tan so you look good but don't experience the "orange celeb" look.

Definitely St Tropez. I'm very fair skinned but use the medium to dark. In between applications I use Johnsons Holiday Skin as my daily moisturiser, again the dark one.

If you don't mind me asking, how hairy are you?

Thanks everyone for your input.

I think I'll give the St Tropez stuff a go, along with the mit - I am very concerned about an uneven/fake look.

Also, Breadstix I'm not very hairy, but does this cause a problem at all?

If you were particularly hairy they say avoid the sprays and opt for the lotions and foams instead.

Article from Men's Health if that's any good.
