Hi guys. I`m a bit puzzled by this one.

Shortly after the software upgrade dated Sept 2011, whenever I pressed the i button for programme info it also displayed the CRID details ie - fp.bbc.uk/7A37CX which is todays mens tennis final.

Thought absolutely nothing of it until yesterday when I visited somebody also with a Foxsat but theirs doesn`t do it.

I assumed that they`d never got the upgrade but when I checked it was there.

Can anyone shed any light.

It's an option in one of the secret menus.

Open Menu/system/diagnostics

Press Red Green Yellow Blue Green Yellow Blue

Enable the crid test option.

I always wondered what that was for Graham. I seem to remember enabling it just to see what it did and now I know.

Not a waste of time at all , certain others might be interested to know what the crids are. Shame it's not retained in the recorded programme info. It would be dead handy in finding out what went wrong if say a series reservation suddenly stops updating.
