Got a few issues with my iPhone 4 and was looking for some advice.

Currently on the latest software available but has always done it.

When typing away on the Internet or in texts, I get an unusual amount of typos, and it runs extremely slowly, it's awful.

Also on the same things, ie it's done it twice typing this, the keyboard just disappears and I end up hitting links or something and losing my Page and what I've typed, when I start typing again the first letter is a capital again as if it's a new paragraPh even when it isn't, just like there!

It's doing my head in and keeps doing it, any suggestions?

Also, when I hold the middle button and power buttons to reset, it just switches the Phone off then on, all apps still active, it doesn't actually reset!

Currently not loving the iPhone so much I'm considering a blackberry again.

My first suggestions would be to take the phone into an Apple store and explain the problems you've been having, even demonstrating them to the staff. They might update or restore the firmware for you or look at resetting the phone. But if you do go into the store make sure you have backed your phone up that day!

If not they would run diagnostics and maybe find something not right.

Ah no not that. I feel very silly going there a lOt, this is my third 4!

I'm hoping to go the weekend to aim for a replacement then I think it's going.
Nobody else seems to have this and it's so frustrating when I use it so much!

Yeah I certainly don't have this issue on mine and if a restore doesn't sort it it makes me think it is something to do with the hardware itself.

Yeah it is pOssible, as you can see there's random capital letters in this where it does it!

Is it possible that the problem is that you're used to a hardware keyboard on a BlackBerry, and so you're not really suited to the iPhone's on-screen keyboard? Some people find it easier that others to get used to. A friend of mine has an absolute nightmare typing on hers in portrait, but loves using it in landscape. Have you tried something like that instead?

It's definately a phone issue mate. Been using iPhones since the 3G with blackberries in between. Only ever been an issue on this one though I get what you're saying
