Tabby: Because I’m a genuine musician I’ve busted my a*se for the past 13 years. I write and record all my own stuff. I’ve played every toilet with electricity and I truly, truly am passionate about music. It’s my life. I’ve never done anything else and I never want to do anything else. I’ve spent the better part of my life being broke because of it. It’s what I do y’know

You tend to find the people who cry struggling artist are the ones who had mommy and daddy paying there way for them.
This is also supported by the statement I've never done anything else, yes well I can quite beleive this.
Unfortunatly most people struggling on there way up have to take second jobs and struggle, I seriously doubt he has struggled a day in his life.

Well yes, because he is just an act.”

Not specifically speaking about Tabby here, but some bands work all their lives and still never make a major impact. It's no reflection on their talent. A good band may never make much of an impact in just the same way a rubbish band can sell a million records. Popularity is irrelevant IMO. I like Tabby, but I still have very little idea of how talented he is at the moment.

I like him, but he's not brilliant. He's good, but a bit crap at the same time if you know what I mean!

Tabby isn't that good he's falt, and has a bit of a boring voice, wait till he has to sing a slow song.

Steve- he probably will win, he does have a good voice, and seems actually a nice person, good personality, reminds me of Will Young a bit.

Rowetta- she is a mad hatter, definately a contender to win, although I fear she'll blow it at the final fence.

Voices With Soul- lots of soul, lots of energy, powerful voices, although can be out of key.

Verity- nice girl, nice, easy voice. Like her, but could she win?

G4- no comment, full stop.

2 to go- Not bad, the girl has improved too. I don't see them winning, but they could get far, 3rd or 4th.

Cassie- Her voice, although good isn't unique, shes boring and dull, next one of the show I think!

I consider my musical tastes to be quite eclectic, with perhaps a slight anti-mainstream bias. I have heard comparisons drawn between Tabby and the fame academy guy Peter. IMHO Tabby not only has a surplus of the genuine charisma that the idiotic plastic wannabe rocker Peter was so sadly lacking in, but also possesses a great rock n roll voice. I hated his performance (especially the stupid appendage of a guitar idea) on Saturday, but it was still good enough to put him in the top 5.

I think the problem is comparing talent across genres. Like I said, if you don't get rock, you won't get Tabby. BTW, I hope its not wishful thinking on my part, but I think there IS more talent on view here than previous shows. I feel Rowetta is the most outstanding, but credit to Sharon for putting a rocker in the mix.

Do you know that mummy and daddy have paid for Tabby then?

Maybe he's earned enough round the clubs and such, just to get by, isn't that struggling?

I can understand if he's not your cuppa, but I don't understand all the character assassination stuff

I'v know close to 100 people from club bands, most sounding alot better than Tabby even the successful ones had to hold down other jobs. Sorry but it just doesn't pay well enough to live off.

His partner was in the paper the other day. Although they're "very much in love", and have a child together, he still lives at home with his parents, leaving her bringing up baby alone.
Bet the CSA will be manning the phones every Saturday!

btw anyone else think his rock'n'roll credentials are slightly tarnished by his previous membership of the prototype of Westlife with Mark and Kian.

Because your comment annoyed me the most. I'm not going to complain about everything everyone says

I only reversed what he said, the original quote before it was removed was
If you don't get tabby you don't get rock.
Mine was just a reply to that not my fault he withdrew the comment

OK, well in that case it's obvious the original poster was talking rubbish anyway.

Why did Tabby ditch his band?

I saw him and Petronella at a gig in Sligo and they were great. He was a real showman, barefeet, crazy flares and he could play a mean guitar.

Shame that he has chosen to seek fame on his own, rather than with Petronella

But you don't know Tabby's full circumstances eh? In your original post you were making suppositions based on what you think. Shouldn't we first find out the facts before we shoot someone down?

If Tabby is living off rich parents and not supporting his child then by all means slag him off, I'll join the queue, but until the full facts are known anything else is supposition.
