Hi I've been using a humax freeview pvr since they were released, but given that all this time only the the bbc iplayer can be accessed via broadband, the winter deals that bt are offering look very attractive, with the itv player 4 od etc. being available.
I had a bad experience several years ago at my last house with getting signed up to bt vision in an area that could hardly support it, with slow speeds. Where I live now it's fast broadband and it shouldn't be a problem.
Just wondered if you could answer a few questions?
Does the box support hd and if so what's the picture quality like - the humax's hd is superb
What's the digibox reliability like?
How robust is the service - any outages etc
What's customer service like?
Any info appreciated>>

some short answers for you

The box doesn't yet support freeview hd. But it does playback hd content. A new box will be available soon that will fully support hd.

Reliability is exceptional. Mine hasn't blinked for the last few years.

No outages here from memory. Very reliable.

customer service is mixed. Some have had a good experience whilst others have not.

I agree wih all the above comments.

I have had BT Vision boxes even before it was released to the general public - that's both the silver one and the black one.

I am now waiting for the new version of software for the black box and the HD box.
