I can understand wanting a brand identity, but even HTC admitted it wasn't making its handsets female friendly, for example. HTC also admitted they had made too many handsets, which to Joe Public were too similar (even the techies must have found it quite hard to tell some apart).

I didn't mean to single out HTC though, it's just that it was mentioned because of the camera design. However, I think others make more varied handsets, with different form factors, which is ironic given how HTC used to do the same back in the Windows Mobile days.

Who knows what they'll show at MWC (besides the stuff already leaked) - maybe they're already about to show off a whole road map with varied design and different materials.
