Used to love watching that, why did they get rid of it? We saw more of the contestants and the professional skaters and it give a good insight to the show, and we got to know alot more about the pro skaters. Would love if they brought that back.

Please god NO, once a week is quite enough.

I used to enjoy that too, you really got to know the contestants and pros that way but I guess it cost too much to put on. They should still do Defrosted though, for an hour after the show!

I stil miss Defrosted. It was a good chance to get to know the contestants, and skaters in a more relaxed setting, and I liked it when Robin got to explain some of the moves with that thing where you got to draw on the tv screen.

I think the problem was that Defrosted had an older audience than the typical ITV2 one, and for some reason, despite perfectly good ratings, and DOI being its biggest show at this time of year, they couldn't let it slide.

The main show would definitely benefit from some kind of spin-off show. A once a week effort on a Friday afternoon would do, and it wouldn't be compulsory to watch, so anyone who thinks it isn't necessary could just not watch.

I also used to enjoy it. I'm not sure that a nightly show would work but once a week for an hour, mid-week to give us an update on the week's training, would be good.

They did do a similar type of show during one series of DOI on Friday Evenings, it was whilst Nicky Slater was still a Judge as I remember the coments about Karen being very frosty with him and turning her back on him!

Is that why they dropped it? I guess it didn't fit with the typical ITV2 advertisers.

I do think it's a shame there isn't a spin off show. I thought the DOI Friday slot was too short (and too much Coleen also). Idon't think ITV would give an hour of prime time to a show like this & not sure how popular the midweek exclusive shows were in the afternoon. Perhaps a good timeslot for it would be Saturday teatime & a good chance to catch up on week's training & enough time to interview couples etc.

It was fine until Colleen Nolan was co presenter and talked incessantly about her own experience on DOI at the expense of the then current celebrities.

I'd rather not have a spin off show than have Colleen presenting it.

^^^^^ I really enjoy ITT when SCD is on but I found the ITV equivalent became really tacky and downmarket. It is a shame because it would be nice to hear about other aspects of the programme, the technicalities of skating, the music, the pros on a separate programme

Zoe Ball did a good job standing in for Claudia on SCD - so why not a previous DOI contestant with presenting experience.

Andrea McLean
Natalie Pinkham
Michael Underwood
Donal McIntyre - though the contestants might have difficulty getting a word in edgeways.
Anglea Rippon is still a very good presenter
We could do worse than Laura Hamilton or Zoe Salmon

Food for thought there perhaps.
