Does anyone know how to get into the engineers menu on this set?

My problem is that I am "missing" bits on either side of the widescreen picture from both my Digibox and Sony DVD (both using the RGB socket) By this I mean that they are chopped off. If I swap to 4:3 I can se the full width of the picture. I think it chops a bit off the top and bottom too, but that's not so easy to show!

Any suggestions? (I've already tried changing the RGB settings on the user menu)

It's ridiculous how set makers still insist on setting up TVs with silly amounts of overscan. There was a point years ago when the height and width were subject to change due to temperature, mains voltage or picture content, but not any more.

I have a Sony KV32-FQ75 - you could try the same method on your set which is as follows:

Make sure TV is running (not in standby). Switch off using front switch. Switch on again while holding down Program+ and Program- on front panel.

You should see TT-- in green at the top right. Now you can toggle between the service menu and the normal menu using the menu button on the remote.

If this works, be very careful what you change - always write down the original settings first!! Don't press any number keys - this will enter numbers after the TT which activates various obscure test modes. Exit the test mode by switching off.
