Yeterday my Missus got a new phone, a Nokia Lumia 800 on cotract with Orange its on a panther deal,100 mins, unlimited texts and 500mb Data for £20.50. Which I thought for a new phone like the Lumia was VGV for money. So far what ive seen with the phone its very impressive, very colourful and very fast. You can keep it up to spec by downloading updates etc from Zune. Just wondered has anybody else got this phone, what do you think of it etc

Yes, I have one for ~2 weeks now, because it looked very nice and I am fond of WP7 OS. So far very happy with it. It's fast, UI is always fluent, everything works OK so far. I heard there were some issues with the early devices (battery life mostly), this is addressed in fixes, my device came already with all fixes installed, included the one to have been released the next week after I bought the phone.

That's the exact phone and contract that I want. And according to the Carphone Warehouse site, the handset is supposed to be free. Will have to ask in store and see if that is true. Someone else though reckons I should go for an Android phone, as they've heard the Nokia Windows phone is rubbish. She wasn't certain if it was this phone or not though. I'm still willing to give it a try. Looks very nice and stylish too.

^^^ And I think it's not rubbish and unlike your friend I actually use one. But it's your money, your decision.

The Nokia Lumia looks and feels great. I also found Windows Phone 7.5 as good if not better than iOS.

My only gripes are:

No removable battery
No expandable memory
No front facing camera

In this day and age, I think these features should come as standard.
