Hm, the only channel working on my device is Sky News, the rest of the channels just get stuck on loading.

No support for Google own phone either, I'm using a Nexus S... absolutely useless

Why no tablet support?

Not available for my HTV phone, Asus Transformer or OH's Sony S2.

Presumably other devices will be added later..hopefully.

And it doesnt work on the XE either which is bizzare imo when the sensation xe and xl are pretty much brothers to the original, Oh well

Disgraceful really considering the amount of money they rake in. It should be available for all devices & all versions of android, it's not like they can't afford the development.

well I've installed it (here):
https://market.android.com/details?i...t5Yi5za3lnbyJd

but so far stuck on 'too many devices registered' as I have two computers already....(you can manage devices under settings in the app)

ok:sky 1 working now, sky news working, sky arts working. cant test premium channels as I don't have the package.

Picture quality on sky 1 was awful, gets better, sky arts is v good.

What phone are you using paul?

Working well on my Galaxy S2. Picture starts off awful, but after about 10 seconds it gets better as it discovers you have a decent bit of bandwidth to play with.

Working very well on my plodding, slow, Galaxy S - and I have to say, having read some of the complaints from the morons on Facebook ("whyz no working on Blackberryz innit?11!), I'm pleasantly surprised.

these problems with it 'not working' - are they just that it won't let you install from the market, or are the problems actually running the app? I suspect all thats needed is somebody on xda to post a download to the app and most folks will be fine.

else

to try and avoid customer complaints from unsupported phones. Quite an own goal.

from their facebook:
Quote:
“ the Android platform covers a wide range of devices that have differing hardware and versions of the Android operating system. This means that we have to tailor the Sky Go app for each model of smartphone which takes considerable time to build and test before we can release it.”

What utter bollocks. Do they think every Android developer runs through each of the 200+ models before releasing as open to each model? Someone there's been at the Apple koolaid.
