I have a rooted DHD. The program runs fine, however when I select to watch a channel, it goes to the 'loading' screen and hangs.

Daft why it won't work on the XE same phone as Sensation.
Is there a list of phones that do work ?

Well it surprised me given they've been saying it will work with the Galaxy S2 without qualifying it by saying that not ALL S2 versions work Actually it doesn't really bother me that much but it is mildly irritating all the same.

I can download it from the market, open it up and select one of the programmes, where they ask for my Sky ID. I then get a message saying the device isn't supported. A quick visit to the Sky forums then reveals that my version of the S2 isn't supported despite other S2s clearly being so.

Totally agree, how can they say a Google phone, mine is a Nexus S, is not supported, it is the stock o/s before any manufacturers get there dirty hands on it, a load of garbage indeed...

The developers of the Sky app for Android are not only incompetent but they have insulted our intelligence, tried to pull the wool over our eyes. Never mind got it working on a rooted Desire S. now need a Sky subscription

for the simple reason that no-one in their offices had one to try it on.

What an embarrassment for Sky, but I bet they don't give a toss just as long as their big spending Apple using subscribers pay up. Tthe more technologically ignorant out there will think this is an Android problem too.

Another annoyed XE user here. It's basically the same phone as the original Sensation!

I'm annoyed because it's a new, top-of-the-range Android phone but the Desire got picked ahead of it?!

I asked them on Facebook,

"Can you explain why it's available on the Sensation, but not the Sensation XE or XL? They're more or less the same phones..."

here's their reply

"Sorry, we have no information as to why they have selected certain Android phones John. pb "

Helpful..

Good old XDA. Proving once again that companies like Sky talk so much bullshit.

I removed the sky version first then installed the test apk.
Restarted phone and launched skygo.
Gave me a message about managing devices so I deleted my other phone and then chose a channel all working.
