Attempted to get Sky Go running tonight. Received the streaming error code 26 (standard S2, v2.3.4, non-rooted). Followed some other forums advice, suggesting multiple uninstalls, clearing the cache and data, then re loading the app might do the trick. After the 3rd attempt, it finally worked. Shame about the paucity of channels, if you don't subscribe to Sports or Movies. Good luck.

It is easy to do a temporary root.

I am thinking of buying my first smartphone the Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 when it comes out sometime in April this year.

Please can someone tell me if Sky Go will work on the Samsung Galaxy Ace 2?

Sky Go is one of the least supported apps available. They've basically asked everyone in their office to try out the app in development, and any phones they couldn't get hold of they chose to disable the app on. ANY phone released this year won't work with Sky Go out of the box (as it stands).

I see there's an update to skygo already does this include more phones or is it a bug fix ?

Ah bug fixes plus support for sensation XE and the S2.

Don't bother with the 1.1 update if you have the XE didn't work on mine just sat there at 0% and had to force close it.

Sky listened! happy its now officially supported for the XE

Back to the test apk which works fine.BTW if you want to try it you need remove the test apk through settings,apps first then install 1.1
