i've seen this mentioned a few times on the gadget show and saw it in a newspaper article recently.

I've downloaded it to my iphone because its free on the app store at the moment and thought i would try it out.

i regulary use nearly a gigabyte of data being on 3, apparantly they don't compress images on websites etc.

I just thought, i would ask on the forum to see if people are using it as i wondered if it really works and saves data usage on our smartphones.

It works fine for me, but it does naturally cause lag. There is thread somewhere here about it. Thankfully you can enable and disable it very easily.

ah good, it does say that i've been saving data usage but i now can't get on to the my3 part to compare what 3 say i've used in data.

No you won't be able to because Thee will see the connection coming from the proxy, rather than your handset. You would have to turn it off to go to mythree.

yes it comes up with the message are you connecting over wifi.

It seems to be working as i apparantly saved 11% on my usage yesterday.

it does seem to cause a small lag on internet browsing but its nothing that is annoying.
