I don't mind re-issues, but only if they offer something substantial and worth splashing out on. I look forward to the track listing.

Teenage Dream is one of my most played albums these past 18 months, so i'd be quite happy to re-buy it if offered something decent.

Why buy something again for a few new tracks surely it makes more sense at this stage for her to release new material rather than rip off her fans pure greed on capitols and to an extent katy's part

It's due mid March so we really should be hearing a new song and a video very soon.

does anyone think the new singles will sell and not her whole re-release album? it took like a year and a half to get teenage dream to go double platinum in America.

I honestly think that this is just going to be a 'collection' eg. It'll probably be the normal album with the remixed/single versions on the end and then a DVD with the videos... you would think if there was going to be a 'new' single from it they'd have made some kind of announcement by now.

In an ideal world, they'll release it as a 'new' album with new artwork, the single versions replacing the originals, and then have the tracks like Dressin Up added on too.

(The decision to release this also seems pretty rushed, so it could have to do with her recent split from Russell so there's no pressure to release a new album anytime within the next 6-12 months or something)

The article does say that two new songs such as Dressing Up are likely to make the re-release

I hope the awful remixes do not make it.

it says they are rumoured, not confirmed. No one actually knows what's on it. I'm just saying what I think is more likely, obviously i don't know because I don't work for the label

Of course! She is a singles artist! Nothing wrong with that at all it's just how she works! I own Teenage Dream but will I buy a reissue? Doubt it tbh. Quick question though, if one of these new singles tops the Hot 100 will she be able to say she has broken that record shes been aiming for?

I actually cannot deal with Katy Perry. Why does it need a re-release? Very successful singles campaign (catch the shade) and plus this would be the perfect time for her to get into the studio and record new material about her divorce and come back late 2012 with a bang!!

I agree if it were a collection of the remixes other versions released with one or two unreleased tracks fair enough 99p for a song is not alot but if its more than two new songs thats when it pushes my buttons.

In general though i loathe Cash ins like the remix/re-release

Very true

With hardly any news of a new single, your idea may eventually be correct and it could be a low key re-release.

She`s been added to the performance line-up at the grammy awards. `Firework` is nominated, although, I wonder if she will perform a new song.

i guess it'll count but i think shes doing it because she desperately wants to pass by mj's record for the most no.1's in one album on the hot 100

I think she should done what The Saturdays did and released an EP or mini-album (they released the Headlines EP/mini-album in 2010) with a couple of new songs and the single remixes instead of re-releasing Teenage Dream.

Just realised that this May, so just over three months away, it will be two years since California Gurls was released! Not sure if I should be impressed or annoyed she's still on this album with no sign of stopping!

I think the whole thing is a farce so she can claim to have had 1billion US No1's from the same album...despite the fact that half the tracks weren't even on the album when it was first released.

Michael Jackson didn't need stunts like that when he had his string of No1's in the BAD Era, the music sold itself.

As much as I like Katy, gotta admit there has been a lot of effort put in to make her singles hit No 1 - remixes for every song since Teenage Dream for example

which I don't think it makes it fair for her getting the record. She is one of my favourite artists, but MJ released his singles as they were, he didn't have to add people to them to gain more interest.

I do understand though if this new 'collection' is just to give her time to her self and extend sales from the current album - it is understandable in her current circumstances, she is only human after all, and she probably will need time to recuperate from a divorce (Even if she writes about it, it will still be pretty raw for her right now).

I think it's quite obvious the only reason she's re-releasing is so she can still break the "most #1's from one album" record in the US.
