USB TV's
I have two TV's in the house with both USB ports on them these are
Samsung LE32D580 The Samsung TV has a remote which as buttons (Pause, Play, Fast Forward, Rewind and Record) and I am interest to know what they do. I have a feeling that if you plug a USB external Hard Drive ito one of the USB ports on the TV and press the record button on the remote when watching a TV programme it records straight to the drive am I correct? Sony KDL 32W550 This TV has a USB port on the side, when I plugged a USB DVD Dive into this the drive started to make noises. Can I plug a USB DVD Drive into this port and watch a DVD movie? |

I have the 40" version of the Samsung and the buttons do indeed do what it says on the tin re the playback functions.
Doesn't just apply to USB harddrives though as it works the same on a USB pendrive. Never read anything about recording so not sure about that. Sorry but i nothing about the Sony tv. Edited as i missed part of the initial question |

The Sony one allows you to play pictures and videos off an external drive, it's probably too old to have recording to an external drive, although many current ones do - and they have a special USB socket for it (as well as the normal one).

really should look at the manuals for each TV, they should tell you what they can do

I coppied a DVD (MY OWN) using DVD Shrink and coppied the contents to a USB Hard Drive converted to FAT 32 but when I view this content I am unable to view. I navigate to the AUDIO_TS folder but it says that no content is available
How do I watch a full DVD movie via a USB |

I now have a Sony KDL32CX530. This has 3 USB ports. I have copied a DVD(MY OWN to my PC HDD using DVD Shrink and I want to sew it together to fit it on a USB HDD to play on my TV.
Can this be done and how? |

Is there a way I can connect my USB Disc Drive t my Sony TV and be able to watch a DVD. I have tried connecting directly to the TV Via USB but it still doesn't work.
If I connect my USB Disc drive to my TV via USB then also connect to the Power will it work. |
