Ooh new thread!

The conversation about renting last night really tickled me (pickle).

But I should point out that these, sadly, are lies :

mojo has already hired Vye. That's why she's gone so quiet. He's dancing in his pants for her.
Why do you think he left HO so suddenly?
ETA: Thought Ayla might enjoy this.

That mod must have wet the bed last night.

So Ally is sad about Rhys and Jacqui tonight is he?

I wonder if Ste will be involved at all.

I'm glad Callum is getting involved in the George/Phoebe storyline, his dynamic heroism is just what the story needs.

According to my calculations, post no. 2344 of this part will be the 250,000th post. A quarter of a million posts (mainly) about Brendan Brady. Blimey.

You may think I have too much time on my hands, but honestly, it was just 10 spare mins and a calculator

Ooh Sharon is returning to Eastenders.

I'm not sure why so many people are excited about it, though. Look what happened to Kat. I'd be worried if I was a fan of hers.

Sorry this is off topic. Morning, new part.

I saw that too. Then I realised I disliked the main part of the forum so much and thus, avoid it, that it was being posted about since 7 last night and I didn't notice until1 this morning.

But yes, I'd be incredibly worried and fully expect her to be ruined. She's also going to fill Ronnie's shoes so we should prepare for DS to break.

Yeah I can't quite see why people are so excited by Sharon's return, all that stuff with Grant and Phil, back in the day, was brilliant but the stuff with Dennis was woeful and she's never been all that.

Bloody Sharon.

Yeah, they ruined Kat and sorta ruined Ronnie. So things don't look great for Sharon's character, to me.

Yeah I never thought she was all that, either. I liked Chrissie more than her.

And you know they'll only repeat some guff with Phil again.

Chrissie was amazing! Actually, amazing. She'd join Ste, Brendan and seven undecided others are my top ten soap characters ever.

Oh don't even try!

Mr "I've dreamt about that for a long time" is nowhere near my top ten.

He's no Noah

Oh blimey, Noel would be in my ten worst. Ha!

I've no idea who'd be in my top ten! Probably really ancient bizzare characters like Michelle and Lofty in EE, or Toyah Batterby and Spider in CS.

Plus John Paul McQueen and Craig Dean, natch.

And Spike.

Gabby?

Thing with soap characters, they sometimes start really well, then go downhill pretty fast. I really liked Alfie when he first came into EE, but god, he drove me mad within the first 6 months. Same with Tiffaneeee. They just drain them dry, or make them go all mushy.

I'm just gonna add in Bobby and Sheila Grant though, in honour of Brookside.

Gabby transcends top tens.

Oh I hated Alfie right from the start.

Oh what's that, Sharon? Despite showing Ste in your silly little montage, HO isn't worthy of even getting a mention? Cheers for that.

Good shout. Most of mine would come from Brookside - Jimmy Corkhill, Sinbad, Mick Johnson, Barry Grant, Bev McLoughlin (at the very least - I could probably make it ten out of ten quite easily), then there would Brendan (of course), Dirty Den and Angie, maybe Max and OB.

I found that so ridiculous. There was Ste, and then George and Phoebe featured in the introduction to the soaps talk, and then nothing about any of them at all.

But she made sure she had plenty of time to talk about Eastenders, no mistake.

She didn't even mention them! Even if she runs out of time, if she can't show the clip, she hurriedly mentions what's happening this week. But no, nothing.

So all the viewers know is that Jacqui was worrying about her candles, and Ste about his beer.

HOs aren't important enough. Clearly.

It's annoying because it's still a well-known soap. It may not be one of the big three but people do still watch it, mind you, even when she does mention it - she talks over the clip or gets some of her information wrong or mixed up.

ETA: Off topic again, but are Eastenders really making Tyler Moon bisexual?!!

It always happens too. Then people complain a bit, so for a few weeks they make an effort, then they forget again. Like when Doctors fans kicked up a fuss to get talked about, and I'm not even sure they got in the opening montage.

HO updated Maddie's 'burn book' RE: Allehh:

I saw a new guy earlier this week in Price Slice. Rumour has it he's come all the way from Australia - although it is totally beyond me why anyone would travel half way across the world to live in Hollyoaks. I mean, what can he possible like about this scrubby little Village? I'll be on a one-way flight to New York (First-Class, Champagne, Vogue magazine...) like, as soon as.

I digress. He was all: "Hey! Nice to meet you!" G'day, g'day, I'm so perfect, g'day. I mean, I'm totally up for partaking in a bit of social climbing, but I can only assume that all the Australian sunshine has gone to his head.

He was dishing out his Aussie charm all over the Village, Ste and Amy are following him round like lost puppies, it's pathetic. I was momentarily tempted to bang their heads together, but saw how much hair product Ste was sporting and reconsidered...
