I joined lovefilm on a free trial a few weeks ago. The first discs were despatched to me on monday but still hadn't arrived so I decided to look on my lovefilm account.

To my absolute horror I discovered the address they had for me was my old address that I haven't lived at for 3 years!

The only possible explanation is that I signed up to lovefilm years ago or partially signed up but I don't remember doing that.

They never flagged me as already having an account when I joined.

Another explanation, less likely IMO, is that my credit card is registered at my old address but the bills come to my current address.

Well I will be ringing them at 9am and if they try and tell me it is my problem then I will be saying "adios, I am off to Netflix".

Sorry about the rant but I really am fuming, expecially as I discovered it at 4am when I can't ring them straight away.

The most likely explanation based on what you've said would be that you were required to enter your credit card billing address in the signup procedure and there was no option to deliver the discs to a different address. I don't think any company would deliver to an address that you didn't give them during the order process.

I sorted this. And it turned out lovely.

I rang them up and they said i had partially signed up in October 2008 and that is where the wrong address came from. They apologised and said don't worry about the missing discs they would waive the fee for losing those. So that in itself was good but then I went to my old address and got the discs back so now I can keep them.
