We often get some cakes and bread from our local. Excellent quality, and very good value.

I had one of their chocolate croissants the other day, bloody lovely. Always tempted to try their donuts but am cutting down on junk food lately so can't

Lot of people seem to say good things about Lidl these days - a woman at work reckons their ready prepared paella is fantastic

The muffins in Lidl are the best around but they're not made by them.
As for in store bakeries, Morrisons has to be the best. Their steak slices are much better than Greggs - and cheaper! |

I'm pretty sure almost everything in the bakery is made fresh(I see it being made) and before anyone asks yes I do work for Morrisons. |

Lidl's cheese swirls/croissants are so delicious. The one round the corner from me is always really fresh.

Not been in Lidl for months now, I doubt ours will have a bakery it is too small. I don't like Lidls, not ours anyway, too small and messy

The pain au chocolat, croissants and cinamon whirls are all very good, especially when still warm!

the cinamon whirls are really good.I don't know if it is baked in the store, but it's new to me,fresh baked stuff.I think they put some stuff in the ovens to create the baking smell.Try the apple turnovers, yum

My local Lidl has a bakery and I go in there once in a while. Their freshly baked croissants are to die for! They're even nicer when still warm

Baked in store - . Most shops get everything ready to be "baked" and pop it in the oven as demand dictates . I would guess that any other "Baked in Store" for any shop or store does the same.
Even the biggest "Brand" shops don't have an on house bake house in every store. . My guess is that all the "baked in store" stuff is all prepared off site and transported to the various shops to be "baked" |
