I usually have it with sweet and sour, but I've been getting pretty bored of that lately. Want to try something new, maybe a bit spicy. Am willing to try various different ones, variety is the spice of life after all.

Mayflower medium curry sauce, available from Farmfoods. It's better than most chippies' curry sauces.

Nasi goreng or Bami goreng. They are Indonesian spice pastes/sauces.
My local Morrisons has started stocking them in the world food isle between the Chinese and Indian sections. |

Plum Sauce is nice with egg-fried rice, better with the duck as well but still good.
Hoisin sauce is good as well. |

there are quite a lot of different sauces in the blue dragon range. 3 for a £1 from most places at the moment. Try some of those. They are very nice, IMO

I love black bean. In fact, I adore it, so why do I always order sweet and sour when I have Chinese?

Thanks for all the suggestions! Don't think I'll be having the peanut butter and chilli any time soon, but the Blue Dragon sauces sound nice! Nice and cheap as well

Is this the powder that you mix with water? If it is I have to agree this is a superb chipshop style curry. And really good value for money too.

I like sweet and sour sauce mixed in with egg fried rice.
Not so keen on curry sauce, it seems to vary. I went to a nice chip shop once that had a really nice curry sauce. It was mixed with raisins and tasted really nice. With other chip shops it tastes a bit bland. |
