She's improving at great speed, at 20.0 now and set to go higher in the coming weeks if she gets the votes.

I think she's very likeable and could see people voting for her, I think she's great

She's my favourite amongst the girls, but I don't think Chemmy's got a solid enough fanbase to go all the way.

Also, I wish she'd get it out of her head that lifts are the be all and end all. She doesn't appreciate how good a skater she is.

One word.....NO, she not that much more polished in her skating...as always the male skater creates the moves for her!!

I think she's great & agree with Sid's comments that she shouldn't worry too much about lifts as her skating is of a much higher standard than the other girls.

Louie's mark of 5.5 was silly so she should have been a bit higher Not sure how big a vote she's getting & how much she'll get in later weeks but the fact she avoided skate off the other week when she was 2nd from bottom shows she has decent enough support. I know she won't have had a pre existing fanbase but I think she's coming across quite well & if she carries on improving who knows. She's a contender (along with Matt, Jorgie, Seb & Chico).

She's easily the best female skater there & does more on her own than the other girls & at greater speed too.

Really enjoyed her performance tonight. Thought she was a tad underscored. I would have had her above Sebastien and Matt.

I think she's great but not a winner. She will continue to improve but I don't think she will ever find the finesse and elegance of the other girls. I reckon a couple of ballet classes would really help her, I hope someone suggests that to her.

I would never expect her to be as elegant as the likes of Jorgie & Jen who are trained dancers but I'd hope the public would give her credit if she were to improve in this area & added to her already good skating ability. She was tweeting the other week asking for recommendations for dancing lessons so something she's pursuing I think.

That's good - I think Chemmy is someone who genuinely wants to better herself and I admire that. She seems lovely too and her skating tonight was great; probably not a winner, but she deserves to be around in the show for a good while longer IMO.

Yes, I'd agree with the general flow of this thread- she is likeable and a good skater- those who are skating slowly but with greater finesse really showed tonight, it emphasized how fast and accomplished she is becoming.

I would love to see her win. She is improving every week and I like a 'journey'

I hope so. We interviewed her for a posh sports mag http://www.thepodiummagazine.com/ and she was absolutely lovely too. I think her skating is improving the most.

How does she know Zara Philips? And what were she and Mike Tindall doing in the audience? Presumably reminding people that they're 'sooooo' in love

Chemmy is my favourite, love her, but the presenters and the judges attention is always on Matt/Jorgie rather than anyone else and I'm not sure how big her fanbase is in comparison with the others

I love her performances, very powerful and exciting to watch and contrary to Katerina's opinion I do think she could do bigger lifts, because Sean's hardly a smalll man is he?

I think her & Zara have been skiing together. I guess they were there to support Chemmy as they're friends. I like Zara & Mike but ITV did go on about it a bit LOL. I remember seeing an interview with Zara a while ago saying she liked skating and was a fan of Torvill & Dean. Would love to see her on the show as a contestant (I can't see Mike as another Kyran Bracken though).

Yes she can! I'll vote for my fave man and woman, this year they are Sam and Chemmy. I want her to win tho as I love Sean (and Joydene) as skaters. Anyone who calls his fitness up need only watch their solos!

Sorry but you are wrong. Jorgie is the best female skater and then you have both Heidi and Jen that have better finishing in their dance side and so much more finesse. Chemmey rushes things too much. She needs to slow down a little and concentrate on her style and her movements too! So No, I dont think that Chemmey can win!

Jorgie may be a better overall performer but she is definitely not a better skater than Chemmy. She spends too much time on her toe picks. Jen being a trained dancer obviously has more finish but her skating is still very tentative & she doesn't do that much on her own. Heidi is dull to watch & clings on to Andrei most of the time & if she isn't like the tiny amount of solo skating she did tonight she looks petrified. Chemmy does need to work on her finesse but that's not the be all & end all for me and she is far more exciting to watch than the likes of Jen & especially Heidi.

Don't think she has a big enough fanbase. Hopefully she won't get anywhere near the final anyway, just don't like her.

She's become my favourite and she is a good skater but I don't think she will ever be as good as Matt and Jorgie. Would like to see her do well, somewhere in the last six would be fair. Put money on her at the bookies, the odds of 25/1 for her being a nice earner in the unlikely event of her winning but don't think I will be returning to the betting shop to collect my money. Like to see her on Strictly, very likeable character.

I don't think she can win but will get quite far in the competition.

One thing that I wish she would change is her
open-mouth smile, it comes off too cheesey.

Somewhat I'm in a high school musical cheesy

Laura did that last year, but Jason pointed it out to her in
the first show and she stopped it. I think Chemmy should
change too.

As she is at the moment I don't think she can win. Her skating is quite good but as has already been said she lacks finesse. If, however she is going for dancing lessons things could change very quickly.

As for her fan base it's difficult to judge but I'm sure she's gaining fans every week.

I agree with you about Chemmy. I somehow guessed she'd have the fighting spirit.

I can't see it happening. I can't see her being one of the DOI favourites, on top of not having enough fans of her own pre - doing the show.

I do get that pre existing fanbases are important in the early weeks but I think that decreases as the show goes on as you get to know the contestants more & judge on their skating and/or how they come across on screen. None of last year's finalists had much of a fanbase before the show in comparison to someone like Denise Welch but the talent won through.
