What's happened to my white balsamic?

It's got bits floating in it

I always get that with white wine vinegar and cider vinegar.
Luckily these bits can't get through the holes when pouring

It's not cloudy though. It has strands of things in it. Looks like someone has done a big phlegm filled gob into it.

I looked at a few other threads and it comes in various forms from a film, to a gelatin type substance to a floating jelly fish which is what mine seems to have.

You can make your own vinegar if you leave the glutinous substance to develop and then add wine to it from time to time.
I have a red and white vinegar 'mother' on the go.
