new puppy
Hi all. Ihave a new puppy who is now18 weeks. I want to get another sometime inthe future to give him doggy company. Whats the best age gap?

The best time would be when your current puppy is trained enough to be a role model to the new addition
When you get another it will learn from your current pup so it would be *easier* theoretically to wait until he has matured. Of course every dog and every owner is different, but that's what I would do.

My dogs have 5 years between them but I think I would leave at least a year if I was you. The above poster makes a good point with the learning from the older dog etc.
