Bored of the rubbish skaters

In the first few series of DOI I enjoyed watching the rubbish celebs skating as it made me laugh. I now find that I record DOI and fast forward through the rubbish lot as I really have no interest in seeing them.
I love watching the good skaters and seeing how far they can push themeslves.
Luckily my 2 favourite pro skaters have good partners, Dan Whiston and Matt Evers, i could watch these 2 all day!!

Yep I mostly agree with you. I found Sam and Rosemary particularly boring last night. I have a soft spot for Charlene so quite enjoyed her routine and last night I really enjoyed Andy even though I hate that Proclaimers song

For me most of the weaker skaters left like Heidi or Rosemary are not interesting or entertaining in any way. I can't help liking Andy though and think he's really improved. Think he deserved his place on the leaderboard this week.

I don't think there's any rubbish skaters left.

Charlene, Laila and Corey were the only celebs I'd label rubbish this year although Charlene's first performance was great.

Personally, I think Jennifer and Chico are so dull in their performances, but I would never say they were rubbish, because they're not.

I was shocked at how much improvement Rosemary's made since last week and think she deserved to stay last night. Maybe if she hadn't improved so much since last week, I'd have said she was rubbish.

Sam and Andy are improving every week.

Heidi's potential is massive, she just needs more confidence on the ice so she can do some solo skating. She looks great during her lifts.

Matthew, Jorgie, Sebastien and Chemmy are all very good, whether you like them or not, I don't think anyone can deny that.

Very good line up this year in terms of skating ability, in my opinion.

I hate that song too! Agree with you on Rosemary being so boring. Why are people voting for her? And the judges marks, I despair! At least Louie said she was boring, good for him!

It is good to see that none of the better skaters have had an early exit left and sadly those gone were right to go. Just not into Rosemary like so many of you.

I think Rosemary is entering Coleen Nolan territory - i.e. doing basically the same dance to a different song each week - and I'm glad Louie said similar. Each to their own, but I can't see any entertainment in what she is doing, it's just SO boring!

Yeah hey at last most of the boring/rubbish skaters have gone, now I can start watching properly (obviously Sky+ & fast forward all the dross including VT's & ad breaks).
Only Rosemary left of the boring ones but at least she is elegant & a game old bird.
I'm going to time all the ad breaks next week on the main show & see how many minutes they add up to. It sounds like it is getting as bad as the XF, with one after each contestant .

Yes, I find Andy dull. I thought he;d be funny but he;s not, he's just dull and not very good.

BIB I think that's why I think people are voting for her. Of all the other OAPs I think she is one of the better ones skating wise but unfortunately she just bores me

None of the skaters bore me, skating isn't an easy thing to master and when it comes to Rosemary, she's probably older than many of DS members' grandmothers, could their grannies do it?

At least, this year, the weaker skaters have been voted out, the panel of judges give their opinions on the quality of the skating and don't resort to personal insults. Boring? Absolutely not.

Used to love this show, but I agree the boring and poor skaters take up to much time of the two hour show, will start watching when down to the final 6 more interesting then.

I think the standard is high on the whole - generally in these shows you only get one or two people who you know will blitz the contest from the starting episode or two, with nobody else really in with a shot, and in this case, it's a bit more open, or at least seems that way for the moment. But it is very, very drawn out, I would agree, and some routines are rather too short considering.

Sam, Rosemary and Andy all bore me to tears. Heidi and Jennifer are okay but nothing special.

I like Jorgie, Chico, Sebastian, and Chemmy and Matt despite the ridiculous overmarking Matt gets.

But few of the skaters have really lived upto the first week or two when I was shocked at how good they all seemed for newbies. At this point in time, Jorgie and Sebastian are the real stand outs for me. The rest I'm fairly "meh" about.
