All hands brace for impact! Incoming inevitable cries of "Oh no, change!" off the port bow!

Embrace the change, bring it in to your home, take it for a drink down the inn, make it your BFF. This is what keeps the show going! There is one trend which has reappeared and needs to break again..

Sounds an interesting name if true.
One Meaning
Clara \c-la-ra\ as a girl's name is of Latin origin, and the meaning of Clara is "bright, famous". Made famous in the 1920s by the silent film actress Clara Bow, known as "the It girl", because whatever "it" was, she had it.
Clara was Liz Sladen's middle name. Still hasn't been confirmed as such but there are reports on DS and other sites this morning

Was also the name of Doc Brown's eventual Missus.

Well so far Series 7 appears to open with another planet, one of Chibnall's story is another planet/spaceship supposedly and I'm sure Jenna's stories will see her on another planet.

But let's face it with a tight budget and an earth companion, you're going to end up on Earth for most stories.

Very bittersweet right now!
Link? All I'm seeing on DWTV is news about the new studio and the BAFTAs.

PS: Change is fine here. Especially the nice explosive glowing sort of change.

Oh for blue f--ks sake no! I'd rather she's the Rani.

CLARA seems short enough to be an acronym. Also, if I could travel the whole of time and space, my robot assistant would look like Jenna, not a boxy tin dog. Hmmm...

Matt's gone 'Victorian' but Jenna hasn't. Surely they'd both be trying to blend in ? Possibly more to one of their costume choices then, but which one ?
Erm...that bag....bit satchel like no?

I know it's the trend to have 20 something actresses play younger, but I'm just wondering how young this Clara is supposed to be?

They wouldn't go full on "childrens market appeal" and have her be a schoolgirl, would they?

Or maybe tap into the student demographic and have her be college/uni age?

I would lean towards college/uni as opposed to a waterloo road repeat.

An acronym of what? I can't think of one that would make any sense?

So long as they aren't all endlessly modern day Earth I'm not concerned, so long as we get about 2/3 new worlds every now and then.

I hope they don't make her any younger than 21. For a start, what would be the point? Also, Amy was played as Karen's age (er...I think) and I reckon they should definitely do the same for Jenna/Clara.

Oh a pic of Clara where she isn't standing there with her arms folded

My first impression of the Dougray Scott pic was that it was the 10th Doctor on a bad day

Now, Muttley, don't get too excited, you know what happened when it was announced that Bill Pullman was going to be in Torchwood.

Sometime ago I think, but it's not the Steven Berkoff.
