Lump on cat
Hi
I have found a lump on my cats side, i have booked her in at the vets tomorrow, but just wondering if anyone else has experienced this. It is about 8mm long and hard, she is still eating and drinking fine, it doesnt hurt her when touched. I think it is new as only found it on Sat and i am always stroking her so would have seen it sooner. She doesnt go out so it cant be from another cat (bite, scratch etc). Any ideas? |

I haven't had anything like this with cats, but I know with dogs they sometimes get fatty lumps under their skin, which are benign. Could be any number of things, mostly harmless, such as an enlarged gland, infected insect bite or something. Only the vet will be able to tell you.

One of my parents cat's has a lump on his chest. It is just a fatty lump and the vet said taking it out would just stress him out. He has had it for a few years now.
