Two BBQ programs on tonight
Just saw them in the listings and thought that if you're into BBQ then they might be a good watch. Perfect...BBQ - 7pm Good Food Quote:
Tom Kerridge takes on Valentine Warner, who is back to try his hand at the best barbecue recipes. Classic: The chefs gets busy making ribs, with Tom choosing maple and smoked paprika ribs and Valentine spicing things up with baby back ribs and barbecue sauce. Simple: Tom fires up squid with cucumber, avocado and mint salsa, while Valentine keeps it easygoing with corn on the cob with mayo and cheese plus barbecued spring onions. Ultimate: Tom impresses with jerk fillet of beef with slow roasted potatoes and onions. Valentine goes for grilled turbot with coriander sauce and roasted chickpea, pepper and orange salad. Food Network Challenge - 12am Food Network UK Follows a big BBQ contest in the US. It's for the pro bbq teams. |

There are four or five different BBQ episodes i've seen. Not sure which this one is but they're usually pretty big competitions.

Anyone know of any BBQ restaurants in the UK outside London?

Great time to show these, just as the country is experiencing the coldest temperatures of the winter

Wish I had a smoker. My dad has an old kettle BBQ he said I could have. I should really get around to setting it up.
I guess you can buy wood for smoking online. I've looked around the DIY/garden centres here and non of them stock appropriate bbq smoking wood. |

I know in the one last night there was a few mishaps with some of the teams and their ingredients, cookings, saucing etc. |
