Don't be a drag, just be a queen!

Who else is excited? This is the tour of 2012 and there will be egg on the faces on those who will miss this!

I think this (the tour) is going to be one of those "Where were you?" cultural moments in years to come!

I'd prefer the tour dates rather than a picture of the stage but at least it's something.

Stage? as in just one?

I was hoping she'd be aiming to top the Monster Ball, I think i'll definitely be skipping the BTW Ball and waiting for her next tour.

ROFL!!!!!!!!
You are deluded.
God if it's anything like the utter bore-fest of Monster Ball, i'll give it a wide berth.

If you are a Gaga fan, then yes you will think it's fabulous. I do think though that the emphasis this year will be, sadly for you, on Madonna. If Madonna goes before Gaga, everyone will be spotting for similarities in Gaga's show. Gaga will probably be overshadowed, especially by the media.

I'm excited!

I really liked The Monster Ball - it was like the 21st century female popstar version of The Wall.

It could have done with less... talking(?) though.

Sorry, but i just had to quote this again.
I'm absolutely pissing myself that you or indeed anyone would come out with such a ridiculous statement and believe it.

Where were you? Cultural moments are things like Band Aid, Live Aid, Jacko's Thriller video NOT Lady GaGa's 2nd tour!!!!

Lol..the OP is actually unintentially really funny. I'm sure we'll all stop in years to come and remember where we were and what we were doing when the stage was unveiled. It'll be like 9/11 and JFK

I was talking about the actual tour being a cultural milestone of course the unveiling of the stage won't be that huge, it just signifies that we're almost there!

Madonna is already winning the iconic cultural stakes! Her new World Tour is not called anything specific. Just simply:

Madonna World Tour.

Unfortunately it sounds huge! Gaga best pull her finger out! Madges album is out in March and the tour starts in May!

its the talking that puts me off her shows and i probably will wait until she has more material. hopefully at that stage she will have less time for her speeches. her rant about lip syncing was baffling and i have read many media articles predicting that her words will come back to haunt her at some point. her performances are nothing short of fantastic though in all honesty and she obviously enjoys her close connection to her fans. however, that close connection could alienate casual fans from wanting to see her concerts.

I don't know why you want to turn this into a GaGa vs Madonna thread...but its beyond lame. Madonna can call her tour whatever she likes doesn't mean it will be any good.

The same reason that you invade virtually every thread about Madonna and turn it into a Madonna vs Gaga thread! If you don't like it, don't do it!

The tour dates would have been preferable, Gaga, but I'm pretty excited to see what the stage is like.

I'm thinking, based on what she's said and her aesthetic with this album (in particular the most recent performances), it's going to be dark, deconstructed, grunge-glam. Very 80's sci-fi fantasy meets biker gang.

I reckon it's going to be brilliant. I wasn't 100% in love with TMB, purely because I felt the beginning dragged a bit (exl. DITD and JD) and the campy dialogue got a bit much. LoveGame onwards was fantastic, though.

I love the music from BTW way more, and it sounds like it's going to be a lot more thrilling live, so I can't wait. It's MADE for touring.

Stage? as in just one?

How many stages were you expecting...?

At its worst its good...at its best...well...stratospheric! No such thing as a below standard Madonna World Tour.... coincidentally her next one is just Madonna World Tour.

At the same point you are 110% correct that gaga will have a solid year Tour too

I mean Sticky & Sweet, The Circus With Britney Spears, I Am..., FUnhouse and KylieX2008 all managed to be massive successful tours at the same two year time period

So gaga definitely is ensured success with her next tour regardless really.

The tour of 2012!! Original poster are you sure you're not GaGa herself as she also likes to spout rubbish...one example being her claiming that her 2nd album would be "the greatest album of the decade".

Hel yeah!

There is perfect space for The Queen and the Mother Monster And they respect each other...so fans should essentially respect both...because i do and can And we all do and can.

Actually whenever I post in a Madonna thread I give my opinion which is then followed by the likes of you trying to "defend" your queen by attacking GaGa...funny that, you can't seem to defend her on her own merits, says a lot!
