Goodbye my sweet Mowgli!
We just returned from the vet after putting our beautiful Mowgli to sleep. Although he was quite an old puss, we think bout 13 or even older he'd been suffering from Diabetes the last 9 months and never quite recovered after walking on his hocks. We started giving him B6 methyl which helped the last 3 months but he was never going to run through the kitchen again. Just this last week he'd stopped eating completely and drinking very little and we noticed he'd lost a lot of weight the last week. When he tried to sit up he sort of swayed and just wanted to lay in his bed. My folks took him to the vets this morning and when they returned home my mum told me. I'm not sure I could have coped very well being there while the vet injected him so at least I can remember him a better way. Going to Give extra special love and hugs to Bobbie now and hope she doesn't feel the pain of losing her brother! Goodbye my beautiful sweet Mowgli I hope you're happy running around heavens garden now!

Hugs to you. It's horrible to lose our beloved cats. I hope that you can at least know you did the right thing and I'm sure he'll be looking over you with a big smile on his face knowing how much he was and always will be loved by you.

Thanks for all your comments. I didn't think it would affect me so much havn't stopped cryin all day. Every time I walk past his bed and litter tray I just fall to pieces - just can't bring myself to put them away - not yet anyway.

You did the kindest and hardest thing any pet owner can do for their beloved pet. Mowglii is no longer in pain, but he will be always there in your heart.
Sending you hugs x RIP Mowglii |

Mowgli will be going to our local pet crematoriam and they will place his ashes into a box for us. We've decided to scatter his ashes in our back garden which was his favourite place.
