Hungry Sailors
Is anyone else watching this programme on ITV - I think it is on at about 5pm each day but I sky plus it and watch it in the evenings.
Anyway - I thought it was a bit daft and silly to start with but have become a bit addicted to it and last night tried one of the recipes off the website and it was delicious and easy. I made granola. It is so nice - fills you up, all good healthy ingredients and gives you lots of energy (about to go to a keep fit class). I am attempting their chicken liver pate recipe later. I thought I would mention it as it is a bit different from many foody programmes (the people cooking are clearly not chefs!) but it has a certain charm and the recipes are really good! |

Oh, didn't know about this, I've set to record so I can watch on my own tonight when everyone's asleep. Thanks!

I have made a couple of other recipes now too. I made the red onion marmalade which was absolutely delicious. Also had a go at the chicken liver pate. I used Madeira instead of port. It was a nice light tasting pate. Texture was a but runnier than normal pate - more hummus than pate but it didn't detract from the flavour. Went well with the onion marmalade!
