Okay I bought this game over a month ago but haven't even took it out the box yet. With the patch released would now be a good time for me to start playing this? I've never played an Elder Scrolls game before so am not sure what to expect.

Best game I've played since Fallout 3 (my all time fave). The patch will fix a lot of bugs, but don't expect it to be perfect... yet. |

Slaying dragons and helping people out with random quests will start to seem like your full time job, which get interrupted by this 9-5 thing you do every day. |

I tried out the v1.4 patch on 360 yesterday and everything seems to be running very nicely, I noticed a few of the texture loading issues while viewing certain items in the menu have now been ironed out. I'm hoping the "Blood on the Ice" quest has been fixed as the last time I tried it parts of it wouldn't trigger.

I did'nt pay much attention to the smaller statue, but later in the Thieves Guild quest there's giant version in a cave. I spent at least 10 minutes walking around it...just admiring the view...from behind

They're dotted about the place. They also turn up in load screens.

![]() This games looks amazing, will eat up many hours of your time, It's as addictive as any game I've played and is now one of my all time favorites next to Oblivion and Red Dead Redemption. As for what you can expect - Dragons (and lots of them) Exploration on a level that no other game has achieved in my eyes. Great Weapons and armour The ability to turn into a werewolf ![]() Great character creation in the beginning (really got me invested into my character) Overall it's just got about everything you could want

It's frightening to think how long you actually spend on this game
I mean take MW3, I played it & 8 or 9 hours later it was finished, all done, the end! Yet 9 hours on Skyrim barely gets you through one town once you've explored everywhere & visited all the stores & had numerous random encounters. There is nothing close to this game for me, only Fallout (3 & NV) & Red Dead Redemption & ME2 are comparable. Simply epic

Bit ticked off with the game at the moment.
I spent hours and hours getting my alchemy skill to 100. I chose all the perks to make my potions stronger. My enchanting and smithing have been at 100 for ages with the relevant perks. I was expecting to be able to create armour that is really strong with strong enchantments but it's barely improved at all. My armour rating is 1392 (daedric) and my enchantments on my boots for example are 51% percent resistance to frost and fire. I was expecting it to at least increase to 70 - 75%, just pi***d that its only improved to 53%. anyone got any tips on what I'm doing wrong or if I've missed a trick. I have all the perks needed and i'm more ticked off at the fact I spent hours getting my alchemy up for no reason (I'm at level 77 at the moment so I took me longer than I'd hoped with less skills to level) cheers

So I completed the main quest and now I'm finishing off other bits and pieces (the daedric quests are always great fun).
So I got married. And my new spouse buggered off immediately after the wedding. Charming! I didn't even get a kiss!! Still, the courtship was rather brief - "I like you", "I like you too " "Shall we get married?" "Yeah OK"
