First of all, RADIO PLAY. Are you guys requesting it? I must be the only person requesting this song! There really isn't enough airplay. Also, when I asked Capital to play Elephant, they replied with "how about Pixie?". I mean, what the hell?

They are blatantly NOT playing her, alex has better material than pixie, although KTS is a good song (but has an annoying underbeat to it - it sounds like a clunking sound on the verses).

Alexandra Burke ft. David Guetta sounds good....it makes sense and could bode well for a US debut...His name is huge there and it's propelled the likes of Sia and Flo-Rida to new heights....this feature could really be beneficial for her...

Hopefully she has some more high profile collaborations as personally I feel Elephant doesn't hype up the album as much as it should even though it's an amazing track...

The video views are very concerning though....especially since it's been a week...:-/

To be honest, I've had no desire to view the video on Youtube after watching it on the music channels. It's incredibly weak and just looks like a low budget 'We Found Love'. The song is still really good but I don't like the cheapness of the video. Such a let down - even 'The Silence' was a better video.

I don't like the song. I think it's her second worst single (SWY being the worst). I just find it very dull and boring. It doesn't seem to go anywhere and sounds extremely cheap and generic. I don't like the video either. However, I'm hoping that the album is nothing like this single, and the rumours of David Guetta give me some hope! I don't think Elephant is going to do too well...the only people who seem to be talking about it are the hardcore fans. Radio doesn't seem excited about it and neither do the music channels...I've been watching them non stop since the video was released and the only time it's really getting played is when they have an "Alexandra Burke: New Video" slot on channels such as Chart Show. I know we still have another 4 weeks to go, but people just don't seem to care for it.

if it becomes a hit, then it might get more airplay after its release. That happened for Love on top. Maybe R1 will A Playlist it, we'll have to see. Its a good track, and its not weak at all. I didnt like it before, but I play it several times a day now. And i dont think the video is a WFL style one, just because the happy scenes are similar doesnt make it a copy. The point of each song is different too. In WFL its a destructive drug filled relationship, not having fun.

What I think would be better is for her to be doing the moves, and then finish the shoot (like in Love on top) and then the crew to be moving around (in a good way) and then he turns up (and her reaction is the same as it is in the vid), she's a good actress and it worked, just needed tweaking. Anyway, promo is key (airplay is a factor) but being on Graham Norton will help. There's 2/3 slots Alex can be on, and it helped Ed sheeran's new single go top 20 after him being on it, and he was good, but nothing special (and Im a fan). Her vocals filling the studio, and her being a guest would help IMO.

All I wanted to see was a few more wide shots. They cut off her legs, and the choreography was missed a little. I see why they put it out now, after hearing it again today. Its ridiculously catchy, the only thing that lets it down is the chorus, I still think the remix chorus should be on the single mix. And that IMO there should be no remix. I think they need to take it outside of the UK, as if its not a hit here, the rest of the world v the UK yields bigger sales. Adele's global success helped her here ie the brits intro bit and public opinion of her. Its not the video, simply the editing.

I dont think its that, but most outlets have been dying to slate her for time. They disliked her, but off her debut, the music was good, she is talented, and so you couldnt say 'we wont play her as she's naff, so we'll stick some cheryl cole on'. And now they can find a way to slate her. She's going with 2/3 singles before the drop, so not to worry.

Hopefully 'Elephant' will do a MLJ and miraculously manages to go top 3 and hang around without much initial airplay.

I've seen it loads on music channels and my mum (who thought she would come back and flop) is totally addicted to it. A lot of people that aren't actually hardcore fans like the video as they think she looks cool and edgy.
