Madonna went to number one with 4 minutes due to a combination of physical and digital release ...most of her fans love having a physical copy due to them being collectors
if there is no physical release for gmayl i can sadly say this song will not do as well as expected ...the song is a grower tho ..it doesnt help with no radios playing it either whats going on ....

i have faith in the second single and album but not so much this single ..its not very uk friendly ..its very usa friendly ..

or it got to number 1 due to the fact 4 minutes was a brilliant banging tune that was produced by timbaland and has stood the test of time...

this physical/download stuff is poppycock

if there is no physicall release then this will be the first time ever for a first madonna single off a album and it will hurt her sales ..so they better hurry up with the physical release and remixes if they want it to be a hit here in the uk

4 minutes went to number one when the physical was released not when it was just digital so get your facts right

4 Minutes was very of the time too however....with Timbo on top etc.

So that was a massive combination whereas Luvin is kinda really different to a lot out there....some cannot take the innocence of it compared to what Madonna is known for. Some dont get the irony of it. Some dont like the retro vibes either. So with all that and the itunes mix up and no physical release i think it will be a low charter....which it will make up for in MDNA and tour sales.

And also hopefully the second official single will have more of a clear direction for worldwide fans and not just Stateside.

luvin leaked 2 months before it was released

the sales have been messed up

the song was basicly made to support her superbowl

people dont actually get the song itself

people in the uk dont even know its out lol

no radio play here in the uk (god knows why )

I just dont think this song has much going for it really ..not here in the uk ....

but if she can just get that hit in america she so deserves i will be happy she wants to go home

According to someone at Haven it was chart eligible in the UK from yesterday as the album offer ended monday. On one days sales it's #64.

so its not that bad dispite the mess up

should the song have debuted higher than what it debuted at?

it debuted in america at #13

the song got too much hype and it got exposure during the super bowl.

I think the album pre-order and subsequent deletion screwed over the single. Plus, we know what Pop Radio is like now.

On the other hand, I've heard the pre-orders for the album were huge!

it might get high opening week sales

It'll do well to go top 10. The Super Bowl is golden promotion in the US but nobody here watches it

a good chance that it can still be a hit in america

i saw the video for the first time yesterday on mtv music and this video has been around since last week. i don't think airplay is good either and with the pre-order fiasco its hardly surprising. a little uk promotion wouldn't hurt though.

however, the US début is a different story though and she is now #5 on itunes there. which in fairness is pretty good considering when the pre-order ended, it completely dropped off the itunes charts, like it did in the uk.

They have given the song for free.
Theres no cd's to buy.
Fans have had it for months.
Its not her best song.
If it was meant for the superbowl, it doesnt mean much in the UK. The fans that stayed up already had it for free.
The remixes arent out yet.

Its a bodge up of a release but she had the highest ratings in TV HISTORY. Im sure shes not crying herself to sleep.

i thought that about katy perry`s california gurls and in no way does that song relate to the uk. it still topped the charts here though. also the lmfao remix is already available. its airplay that is the main issue and the pre-sale was a silly oversight.

Isn't it depressing how Radio 1 dictates so much of the charts! I've heard it - and Masterpiece - a few times now on Radio 2 this week.

Besides... it took 4 Minutes 4 weeks to get to number 1 - and Give It 2 Me ages just to get into the top ten, before going on to be in the charts forever! Maybe we should just wait and see

What's going on with Masterpiece BTW, is it officially a single and has it been released or not

Madonna's song is not going to peak in its first week. 4 Minutes didn't either in the UK. It took ages to get to #1.

What are people talking about the single has disappeared off itunes, so you can't really say much till it reappears. Why has it been took off?
