I voted for Britney (because booking the Superbowl might entail a REAL stage comeback, with real choreography and real energy), Christina Aguilera (because I'm a fan and she's one of the best vocalists and besides, the reaction after the announcement woukd be hilarious) and Skrillex (just to see how the middle-aged viewers would react to the bassdrop )

Beyonce. She would slay it so effortlessly.

I'm imagining; Crazy In Love (ft. Jay Z), Destiny's Child medley (obviously featuring Kelly and Michelle), Irreplaceable/Halo, Single Ladies, maybe even Telephone with Gaga.

People would read too much into Gaga doing it the year after Madonna and no doubt invite comparisons/drama. Can't be arsed with that.

I'd rather Gaga do it in a few years time when she's got more experience in the industry, more hits and generally paid her dues first. For her to step ahead of the likes of Bey after only 3 years (as incredible as they've been for her) would be off, IMO.

I think GaGa is too early into her career, as much as I'd love to see it happen. I think Britney would be good, I'd have thought singing live would of been vital, but watching Madonna, obviously not and Beyonce showed at Glasto that she can put on a hell of a set!

Britney for sure, id imagine she'd do such an energetic show because she'd had half the world watching her, therefore anything less than awesome would be bad viewing! It would be the perfect opportunity for her to show the world she's still got it!

I completely agree.

Of those listed Beyonce; but I'm surprised P!nk is not there amongst the acts to select from as she has now had a decade worth of hits to choose from; and if Christina Aguilera's 2012 album blows up big, then she should be considered to.

The commentating American footballer on BBC1 said 30-35 is far too long as a player for half time - you get too relaxed, it used to be 15 minutes....but I guess advertising revenue is far more important than a silly game

i think beyonce should be next. if you wanna get someone who's an icon like madonna and others who have performed on the super bowl stage then beyonce is your next choice. rihanna, lady gaga and katy perry the rising stars of today are not icons but maybe in 10 years if they're still relevant get them to be on the super bowl stage. but in the meantime, beyonce should be next up.

p.s. both christina aguilera and britney spears have already taken the super bowl stage in the past.

Britney Spears or Beyonce would be ideal, they both are great show stopping entertainers that can command a huge stage, a audience and put on one hell of a show.

Beyonce...she would give an epic performance. She can sing and dance at the same time as well which would make it incredible!

Voted Coldplay.

Disappointed to see Britney leading, her material is like a polished turd.

Out of all of them i think Beyonce would provide something different too...maybe evoke some Diana Ross style stuff too perhaps! I mean she has the hits, by then she will have A Star Is Born to promote and then a tour on the back of the film and 4! So it makes sense for her next year.

Lady gaga after Madonnas this year is basically asking for media/stan war trouble...but if gaga did the National Anthem that would be something different totally! like if they got her on a piano or something for her to do something different...she could totally do that.

I personally would lvoe Britney to do it solo! By 2013 she may have new material recorded and ready to promote early on. And with the MDNA symbolism style/album launch...i think it will be inspiring for Britney to launch as the American Pop Princess and a massive icon she can do it definitely....but at the same point she will require more motivation.

Lana Del Rey would be something fascinating! Although am unsure if she would manage a full half time concert! But perhaps if she performed WITH someone else too she would make it work.

P!nk as others have said i am surprised she isnt a nomination! She would smash it! ANd if she has new material later this year (rumoured) then it would be a fantastic way to show herself off as a performer.

Failing that, Cher and the Scissor Sisters! The campest show in the history of mankind! But it could definitely work! or rather "werrrrrk"

Anyway that would be my ideas!....or why not all in one???

Adele. Let's bring it back to a singer doing just that - err, singing. Live. Strip it right back. Get rid of the chintz. She would shat herself though

I can't believe a country artist has never played the half-time show!

I can't see a pop artist performing the halftime show next year, I see a big rock band doing it.

Maybe Metallica? The Beach Boys (they are reuiniting)?, Foo Fighters? Pearl Jam? I would LOVE for FLEETWOOD MAC to do it! or even Bon Jovi?

I would HATE for Queen with Adam Lambert fronting them to do it, its just all wrong to me.

Has a rapper ever done the halftime show? (Eminem?)

Also Celine Dion is releasing new material, I could see her doing it!

Chances of Eminem doing it are very slim (shady) due to the fact that you don't want anyone who might offend like Janet Jackson, Prince and Madonna have done
