The Brits are currently having a great run in the US Charts. Currently on the US iTunes Top 30, there are; 3 songs from Adele, 1 from Jessie J, 1 from The Wanted, 1 that features Calvin Harris & 1 that feature M.I.A.! Just wanted to know what people think about it.

i think it's great and this week the top 40 has quite a few Brit acts.

Adele -Set fire to the rain #2,
Rihanna and Calvin Harris - We found Love #4,
Jessie J - Domino #6,
Madonna featuring Nicki Minaj and M.I.A - Give me all your lovin' #13,
LMFAO featuring Lauren Bennett - Party Rock Anthem #20,
Adele - someone like you #22,
The Wanted - Glad You Came #30,
Coldplay - Paradise #36.

That's quite a lot for one week glad Brit acts are doing well on the Hot 100 singles chart.

Agreed there is also Ellie Goulding climbing the charts too, and 1D will chart there soon.

Ellie Goulding, Florence & Tinie Tempah have also had varying degrees of success out there.

Wouldn't be surprised if 1 Direction, Ed Sheeran & Alexandra Burke had success soon in the states. There was also talk of Cher Lloyd launching out there!

I think it's brilliant though. #TeamUK

Not sure Leona can relaunch her career here let alone in America. Also she was described as a 'one and a half hit wonder' by the American Idol producer Ken Warwick who thinks she's not big enough for X Factor to use as the main example of their brand. That should change though as XF artists are now being encouraged to promote in the US (1D,Cher Lloyd,Rebecca Ferguson, probably Olly too) as well as internationally where these artists are charting when previously excluding Leona it was just the UK/Ireland.
I can't help but think as good as this push for Brit acts in America is, it's also Cowell perhaps wanting to prove a point with more prescene from the X Factor brand in the US charts which regardless would still be good for UK acts to achieve.

Also not sure what the AI producer means by saying AI produces the international superstars as for me i can only think of Kelly Clarkson, Daughtry and perhaps Adam Lambert.

Back to UK acts in the US i can see Ed Sheeran doing really well there i mean like him or not Jame Blunt was massive in the States during the Back to Bedlam album period and i think Ed could achieve the same.

I think it feels quite liberating to have so many british artists in the top 40 in the US. I'm now looking forward to see what the rest of the year will pan out for the brits in US. Hopefully we get Leona gliding back up the charts later this year, and hopefully in summer V V Brown can hopefully push her music more stateside

Alexandra Burke confirmed she is going over there with her 2nd album....plus she didn't deny rumours of her David Guetta collaboration....I think she'd do great there.... #USBritInvasion

considering that in the 60s, 70s and 80s every week a third of the US singles and album charts were British makes the current tally look pathetic.

There's very little chance of that I'm afraid.Think she has been totally written off over there. The US seem to have turned against talent contestant winners altogether it seems to a certain extent.American Pop Idol / X-Factor US / The Voice US (only 2 seasons) are struggling compared to a few years as go, comparitively.

#75. Calvin Harris - Feel So Close

YAYY! about time he released a solo one over there, its just debuted at #77 on the official billboard charts and climbing up itunes and has been released onto mainstream airplay.

I really hope this is like a new era for Brits there and that it will be easier for Brits to make it big in USA

By the way, what's happened to JLS trying to break America?! Seems to have gone quiet..:/

Nothing happened that's the thing. They released Everybody in Love and I remember seeing it around 300 on Itunes but not much happened, I think they put that idea on hold. I actually thought JLS would have more of a chance in US than The Wanted

I wouldn't exactly say she had been wrote of, she just hasn't had any material out to go by. If they hadn't dashed the rest of her 2nd album I say she would still have been around more. But I agree, the US don't really seem fussed on talent show winners or contestants. From all the winners and contestants in US who really have carved a career? Kelly Clarkson, J-Hud, Chris Daughtry, Adam Lambert, Carrie Underwood. I'd have expected more

Everybody In Love flopped at #400 or something...they were supposed to release a track called Ay Mama ft. Shontelle as their second single but they got dropped from Jive in the US and scrapped the whole project.
