And I totally understand Finn/Cory thing, I get it too! I think it might be because Finn has these goofy connotations and has done some really crappy things and looks a bit stupid? Whereas Cory presents himself really well and dresses better

I think it is to do with his age, but also I think if he's paler he looks older and less good. Its like the season 1 him was the lovely tanned guy with a kind of fuzzy? mohawk, then come season 3 he looked okay sometimes and good at others, but it was always if he looked like he had been sitting out in the sun for a bit

It's because Finn's supposed to be 18 and Cory's actually 30 I reckon

Cory Monteith is an incredibly good looking guy, he channels teen awkwardness when he plays Finn but still has some seriously hot moments too - the Jessie's Girl video, the Hello I Love You montage being two of them
I don't think there's a bad looking person in the main cast, even those who are more on the quirky side are still really gorgeous, specially when dressed as their age on the red carpets.

I think Mark's aged the worst in terms of his character's looks in Glee itself as, when you see him on the red carpet, he often looks younger than Puck! Don't know what they did to him this last year but he looked 10 years older not three (ie series 1 to series 3).

We absolutely agree on everything!! Puck is my favourite out of the original Glee club (thought exactly the same about the weird hair in season 3) and Sam is GORGEOUS and hilarious (the Bieber experience in Series 2 was so funny ) I also think Joe is weirdly attractive

Quinn is my favourite girl, she's just stunning!

I've now finished season 3 and although I secretly wanted Vocal Adrenaline to win Nationals, I thought the New Direction's performance of "Paradise by the Dashboard Light" was fantastic!!

The whole cast are gorgeous even those I don't like much (Darren, Amber and Matthew for example). For me though Vanessa, Naya and Dianna do it for me out of the women and for the men Mark, Chord and Kevin.

I'm interested how next season goes but if it's like last season I'm not too hopeful. I bet Tina still won't speak or sing.
Another thing that needs to happen is nobody let Matt 'Flopson' Hodgson do any writing. He's shit.

I loved season 3 and I don't think Tina gets too little screen time. Maybe she doesn't sing as many solos because she's not as good as Rachel or Mercedes? I don't quite understand why people like Sugar either. She doesn't seem like anything special. Quinn and Emma are in a league of their own when it comes to looks I think.

I have to admit I'm not at all optimistic about the next season - if I have no expectations, then hopefully it won't disappoint me.

As for Matt Hodgson, I recall reading somewhere that he will still be on the team of writers for next season unfortunately.

All that ... but on the other hand he ended Puck/Shelby and voted in Britt as Class President and Burt in to Congress, so he has his good points too.

The first of those storylines was ended dreadfully with no closure, and nothing came of neither Britt being Class President nor Burt in Congress.

I think a lot of it is to do with that, as I know many people found that episode plain offensive.

He also wrote 'Saturday Night Glee-ver', which, in my opinion, was nowhere near as bad but still not that great. I don't think it was the best episode for Brittana (and I say as that as someone who isn't really a fan of either character) and I thought Santana's storyline was kind of a rehash of Lauren's in 'Sexy'.

Yeah I really don't consider Brittany winning class president a good thing at all, nor did I see the point in Burt running in and ultimately winning that election - they did nothing with that besides one quick reference to it in the Whitney Houston tribute episode.

I think it was a way to explain why Burt wasn't around much that season (because the actor had a more perminant role in another show) but why they had to explain it, I don't know. It was a way to end the Sue for Congress storyline in a way people might care about. Nobody is going to care if she just loses to an anonymous dude and plus it allowed more comments on arts education (although they barely pushed that).

However, it was kind of another "meh we are bored of telling this story, NEXT!!"

After watching Julianne Moore as Sarah Palin in Game Change I worked out that some of the Sue/Brittany/Kurt/Burt/Rachel election arc was a poke at the Palin/Tea Party thing.

Of course being Glee, they did it in an half-assed way and dropped it before Game Change even premiered ... and South Park had already done it anyway.

That makes sense, I did wonder why he'd gone back to being a guest star rather than recurring. I never really thought about it in relation to Sue's campaign, but it does also make sense in that that storyline required her to be beaten and by a relatively popular character.


I guess I wasn't really that keen on either election storylines and found both kind of pointless - one had an unsatisfying conclusion and its sole purpose seemed to be to create artificial, unnecessary drama while the other I just found a bit stupid.

Can anyone picture Glee in season 4 doing some kind of bizarre version of "Holding Out For a Hero". I could overhear it on the underground this morning through someones headphones and I instantly thought of Rachel singing it to Finn as some kind of cheeky/cheesey reunion scene...

Speaking of which: "Scenes which you can just see them doing with Rachel in season 4"...

Absolutely. I think also Sue being beaten may of forced her to rethink her life, which then lead to the pregnancy storyline. Also bear in mind she was still angry at losing her sister as well and she ended up taking it out on the very people who had supported her during the funeral. I think it has got to the point now where Sue will stop picking on the glee club especially now they are proven champions. We know she is getting a new enemy as is Will, but what will happen, we can only currently speculate.

I am probably reading too much into it but doing that helps with continuity for me. But then again I don't have a big issue with continuity like some other fans of the show. I think with so many characters, it is hard to keep continuity to the way the fans would prefer.

I actually liked both elections The Kurt/Brit election led to Rachel being banned from sectionals.

To be honest the whole show quite often borders on the absurd and I think everything should be taken with a pinch of salt (a very funny one )

I love mean Sue and the only story line I really didn't like was the one about her having a baby. There's something very weird about that

The finale did suggest that she'd be working alongside Roz to go against Figgins in the next season, although I suppose that could always change. They should never go back to the Sue vs glee club thing, that stopped being relevant when the first season ended.

Continuity is definitely one of the show's weaknesses, but there are issues which annoy me more, namely the wasted/missed potential on the show (in terms of both storylines and performances) and their tendency to set up a potentially fantastic storyline but get lost along the way and ultimately give it a weak, unsatisfying conclusion.

To start with I thought the baby storyline was ridiculous but it actually hasn't been that bad. I found the election plot to be a real low point as far as Sue's storylines go and thought it would be the final nail in the coffin for the character, but I think the writing for her improved quite a bit in the back 13.
