Posted this in another Forum but no help so far.

I have a problem with picture settings using the setup below.

TV..................KDL-40EX503
AMP................STR-DH820
HD Recorder.....SVR-HDT1000

When I only had the HDR connected directly (HDMI) to the TV, whether watching recorded video OR viewing the broadcast picture, it was identical to how I had set up.

Now I have the new AMP in the equation the TV picture is perfect but the recorded or viewed picture from the HDD is dreadful. It is very nearly as if I had switched to a 'Vivid' setting.

I cannot, for the life of me, find how to adjust the picture on the TV from the HDR when going through the AMP.

I am only using HDMI cable connections.

Any ideas, please?

it may be the case that each HDMI input may have its own setting in the tv

so switch on to the hdd and select personal , then adjust

There are no 'personal' setting options on the HD so I am unsure what you mean.
