Flash games are primarily "control" based - i.e Keyboard and Mouse based - you point at something, click, type, etc. Best example of this is MOTAS. These games do not translate well to a touch interface as where-ever the screen is touched, it counts as a click. This is absolutely useless for what I imagine is a huge number of games (bloons as another example) and would be better re-designed as Apps or web-apps which can properly utilise touch interfaces.

Alan, its worth noting that many apps are just a window to show HTML5 content.

Yes, that's why I came to the conclusion that APPS are overhyped as well as being another avenue for malware.
Adobe is now marketing its APP kits that convert current flash games having found themselves marginalised.

That's odd, because my iPlayer app in iPad 2 seems to play TV shows just fine. Do the beeb still use flash? I wonder when they'll catch up.

I think the poster was implying video 'clips' as per the BBC news and sport pages etc rather than TV Shows using iPlayer,
