Was going to be my question. Seeing as it's lunch time, I'd imagine the poster is referring to the likes of sandwiches from deli's and whatnot as takeaway. I suppose technically they would be.

Oh, I meant like chinese/indian/pizza etc.

Maybe once a month, twice occasionally. I used to get them more often when I lived alone, 3-4 times a month, but my husband is very picky about takeaway food (or maybe he just has good taste unlike me!).

We almost always get Indian. I prefer Chinese because we eat Indian food we make ourselves, but I don't really trust Chinese takeaways to not put fish in things that are labelled vegetarian.

Probably about once every couple of months, Usually from the nice Chinese up the road.

How do people who have takeaway more than 3 times a week afford it??

Once a fortnight at most. usually Fish and Chips (we live near the best chippy in my county), Pizza or Indian. I do enjoy a good kebab every now and then too.

We both love to cook, but sometimes nothing fills the hole quite like a takeaway.

Once every few weeks, usually just from the chippy.

I did call to the chippy the other night but it's a rarity.

When we lived in central London, we would have a takeaway once a week - there were tons of great places nearby. I love a takeaway - Indian, Chinese, pizza, anything really - but it has to be good quality!

Since we've moved to the country: a) I've discovered a real love of cooking proper food from scratch and b) there are hardly any decent takeaway places near us. There are, however, lots of pubs and restaurants that do great food, so when I don't fancy cooking we eat out.
